Patient Care Technician

Trains a multi-skilled healthcare worker who, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, carries out essential basic bedside patient care functions. Students also receive supplementary training in 12-lead EKG, basic phlebotomy techniques, and restorative skills, and may take the Certified Nursing Assistant examination given by the Florida Board of Nursing.
