Certified Chemical Dependency Assistant

Prepares students to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to fulfill the role of an addiction counselor, including the classifications of drugs of abuse and the diagnosis of substance dependency or abuse. Coursework covers prevention, assessment, intervention, diagnosis, and treatment of substance use and addictive disorders, plus group dynamics, counseling theory and techniques, and interviewing and casework.
