Studio Art

The department of art offers a major and a minor in studio art. The purpose is to lead students to appreciate, understand, and develop creatively in the visual arts. Studio art courses provide a conceptual and process-oriented approach to artmaking, while art history courses build connections between art and society. The degree requires a minimum of 31 units of Beloit credit; Beloit uses course units rather than semester credit hours.
