Opticianry is the branch of the eye health profession that specializes in the design, fitting, manufacturing, verification, and dispensing of ophthalmic prescription spectacles and contact lenses. Graduates of the two-year program earn an associate degree in science and are prepared for the three national certification exams required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to become a licensed optician. The program is accredited by the Commission on Opticianry Accreditation (COA).
