Mechanical Engineering

Offered through the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, mechanical engineering prepares students for research and professional practice. The Ph.D. is focused on research, with a comprehensive research project resulting in an original contribution documented by a thesis and tracks in thermal-fluid sciences, mechanics of solids and materials, and robotics/controls/dynamics.
