The Fire Safety Inspector certificate provides instruction on fire safety inspection procedures and responsibilities, using the objectives for National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1031: Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Inspector and Plan Examiner. After successfully completing the certificate, students who are members of an Ohio Fire Department may take the state exam for Fire Safety Inspector.
