Mechanical Engineering

The educational objectives for the ME program are to produce graduates who competently apply engineering methods to solve professional problems associated with the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of mechanical systems and who understand the social, ethical, and environmental context of their work. The curriculum culminates in a fourth-year capstone design course in which students work in teams to design and evaluate thermo-mechanical systems that meet real needs.
