Physics

The Physics department offers graduate programs leading to MS and PhD degrees. A BS degree in physics or a closely related subject is required, with undergraduate preparation in classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, modern physics, thermal physics, electricity and magnetism, and optics. The MS is offered with a thesis option and two non-thesis options; while a typical program length is 2 years, all work must be completed in 5 calendar years.
