Most states now require 150 semester hours of education to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The State of Michigan allows candidates for the CPA to take the exam after completing a bachelor's degree with appropriate courses. The Cornerstone University B.S. degree with a major in accounting will meet those requirements, although candidates will need to complete the 150 semester hours and experience requirements before being granted the CPA Certificate in Michigan.
