Ancient Greek and Roman Studies

In the Department of Ancient Greek and Roman Studies, students are introduced to the intellectual, social, political, economic, material, and cultural histories of the ancient Greeks and Romans and their interconnectedness to other peoples of the ancient world. The curriculum also engenders a critical exploration of how the ideas and works of the ancient Greeks and Romans remain relevant in the modern world.
