Chinese

Chinese majors identify a research topic of importance to the field of East Asian studies, formulate a research question to explore, and develop a compelling argument supported by clearly explained evidence, including the use of material in Chinese. Students communicate proficiently in Chinese at the ACTFL level of intermediate high in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The major combines required language courses, topics courses, and East Asian Studies capstone courses.
