Surgical Technology prepares an individual to serve as a member of the surgical team, working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care before, during, and after surgery. The Associate of Applied Science degree is a 65 hour program consisting of a minimum of 20 hours of general academic classes and 45 hours of surgical technology classes, awarded to graduates of the 17-month program.
