Homeland Security and Emergency Management

Few areas of public safety generate broad and intense interest as matters of homeland security and emergency management. Ensuring the safety and security of a nation’s homeland—its infrastructure, its institutions, its economy, and most importantly, its people—is a prerequisite for success in all other aspects of societal life. This certificate program teaches students about threats posed by domestic and international terrorism and strategies for countering those threats.
