Medical Assistant

Introduction to the structure of the body, medical terminology and introduction to clinical procedures. Areas covered are the Immune, Digestive, Respiratory, Urinary and Reproductive systems. Also, the program covers office techniques with special attention to billing and coding, patient initial and follow-up documents, filing, scheduling and meeting minutes. Students will complete a 4 hour HIV/AIDS course during the program.
