A career as a phlebotomy technician is a rewarding path for someone who desires to work directly with patients. Phlebotomy technicians are trained to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients while skillfully and safely drawing blood specimens for analysis in the clinical laboratory. Students completing the PBT 210, PBT 201 and PBT 202 courses are eligible to take the phlebotomy certification exam sponsored by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
