Medical Laboratory Technology

Consistent with and complementary to the mission of Hawkeye Community College, the MLT program prepares men and women for entry-level work in a medical laboratory while under the supervision of a medical technologist, pathologist, or physician. The program provides training in routine procedures in microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, serology and urinalysis.
