Classics

Offered by the Department of Greek and Roman Studies, the Classics major requires substantial study of both Greek and Latin along with classical civilization courses. The department investigates all aspects of ancient Greece and Rome: their languages and cultures, their interactions with the rest of the Mediterranean world, and their subsequent influence on modern society.
