Education (M.A.T.)

The Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Education leads to initial Virginia teaching licensure and is offered with concentrations in physical and health education teacher education, initial licensure in middle education, initial licensure in secondary education, and secondary education (grades 6-12). The programs emphasize preparation of effective and reflective teachers who are knowledgeable in the content they are preparing to teach.
