Mathematics

Mathematics is an art, science, and language that encompasses the beauty of pattern and structure, the challenge of uncertainty and abstraction, and the excitement of solving problems. It provides a foundation for much of modern human society. Courses cover basic mathematical functions to more advanced work with calculus, statistics and differential equations. Mathematics students hone their ability to reason effectively and write clearly. Many careers are open to Mathematics majors.
