Cosmetology

The Cosmetology Certificate is a 51-credit-hour program designed to prepare students for the State Board examination. Coursework includes introduction to cosmetology, theory of chemical services, hair coloring theory and lab, basic spa techniques, specialty hair preparation, hair shaping, nail care, state board review, and salon practices or cooperative learning. Integrates a mock state board exam in all semesters and includes a CO-OP class introducing students to the salon industry.
