French Studies

The major provides courses in language, literature, and culture to prepare students for graduate study and for careers in teaching, bilingual education, translating and interpreting, or other areas in which world language skills are applied. Majors must complete at least one semester in Strasbourg, France; Paris, France; or Yaoundé, Cameroon, and a senior oral proficiency evaluation.
