Music Education

The purpose of the Doctor of Music Education program is to provide practical application of music education studies to the field of music teaching and learning. The program is designed to equip music education professionals with skills that will prepare them to assume leadership roles within various organizations in the context of music education. Graduates will be prepared to lead at the district level of K-12 music education as well as in institutions of higher education.
