Special Education (Grades 1-6)

The Master of Science in Special Education prepares teacher candidates to create effective learning environments for students with a variety of disabilities and challenges. Teacher candidates learn strategies and methodologies designed to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, both in inclusive and self-contained classrooms. A minimum of 50 hours of field experience, supervised student-teaching, and practica are required.
