Thanatology

The Thanatology program focuses on the scientific study of death and dying, as well as the practices associated with it, including the psychological and social aspects of grief, bereavement, and mortality. The program is interdisciplinary, involving psychology, sociology, theology, and philosophy. It's especially relevant in professions such as hospice care, counseling, and palliative medicine.
