Phlebotomy

The one semester Phlebotomy Certificate of Completion program is designed to give the student instruction in the field of Phlebotomy. Phlebotomy technicians, who are members of the clinical laboratory team, are responsible for obtaining quality specimens for diagnostic laboratory testing. The specimens are analyzed which in turn aids the physician in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of the patient. Therefore, this makes the phlebotomist an important part ofthe healthcare team.
