German Language and Literature

The German program offers courses at all levels of German language plus literature and culture courses, building critical thinking, cultural competency, and language proficiency. Students complete coursework beyond the intermediate sequence, take at least one German history course, and are encouraged to study abroad, leading to careers in fields such as international business, government, and translation.
