History—Social Studies (Teacher Certification)

The History Department, in collaboration with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, prepares undergraduate majors to become K-12 certified secondary social studies teachers. Required education courses focus on the socio-historical and theoretical foundations of education, educational psychology, content-specific and multidisciplinary methods, and differentiated instruction for the diverse classroom.
