The Medical Assistant program provides students with the job skills and related technical information to work as an assistant in medical facilities. Students learn clerical functions such as scheduling and billing, and clinical functions including taking vital signs and patient histories, venipuncture, and simple lab tests. The AAS is optional with the completion of general education coursework.
