Point Park University is the only Pennsylvania Department of Education recognized institution in Pennsylvania that offers the American Board for the Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) program, a state-approved alternative teacher certification pathway. Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree, complete six required credits with a minimum 3.0 GPA, pass the required ABCTE exams, and complete a 60-day mentorship.
