Creative Writing

Creative Writing focuses on the various ways that human beings try to understand their lives and the world through the writing of stories, poems, essays, plays, and novels. Students advance through a sequence of workshops and seminars as they explore different genres and develop their own individual voices as writers. The major culminates with a capstone project developed over two semesters, in which students complete a senior portfolio and give a public reading from their work.
