Studio Art

Courses in the Studio Art major are designed to prepare students for graduate study, teaching and professional careers in art. Fundamental skills and vocabulary are introduced in beginning-level studio art courses, and faculty then work with students to build on that foundation with advanced level courses that develop their ability to create and think critically and autonomously. A balance of technical ability, creative problem-solving and critical assessment skills is stressed.
