Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

Upon completion of the program, students are eligible for National Registry testing, resulting in National Registry certification as well as certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Employment opportunities for AEMTs are available with ambulance services, fire and rescue services, hospitals, government agencies, and humanitarian relief organizations. This program also serves as the first semester of the Paramedic program at RCC.
