Geology

The geology program prepares students for professional careers in the geosciences and provides the background required for graduate studies. The geology program is broadly based in the traditional geologic disciplines with an emphasis on field studies in the Rocky Mountains. Students participate in numerous field trips, and many students work on independent study/research projects with individual faculty.
