LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION To be eligible for the CMA (AAMA) Certification Exam, you must be a student or graduate of the Medical Assisting Diploma Program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), previously CMA (AAMA) certified, or meet the requirements of the Alternative Pathway.
