Bioinformatics

The program in Bioinformatics provides students with a background in biology, mathematics, and computer science. The core requirements furnish background in each of these areas while later flexibility allows the student to emphasize one or another subject area. The major is appropriate for students interested in a research career in bioinformatics, as well as students preparing for careers in medicine and pharmacology.
