English as a Second Language (ESL)

This program is designed for certified teachers wishing to add the ESL endorsement to their existing certifications. Students complete five graduate courses and take the Oral Proficiency Interview and Written Proficiency Test in English to qualify for an ESL endorsement on a valid New Jersey instructional certificate. All courses can count toward the MAED degree.
