Mathematics/Actuarial Studies

The Department of Mathematics offers a major leading to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Students seeking a B.S. in Mathematics may pursue this field out of intellectual curiosity, as a means of developing problem-solving skills, or in Actuarial Studies, preparation for graduate or professional study. The mathematics/actuarial studies track requires 41 credits of course work in calculus, probability theory, computer science, and the mathematics of insurance.
