Special Education: Childhood Education, Grades 1-6

The Touro University Undergraduate Education Program seeks to prepare elementary school teachers who will have the knowledge and skills to create a productive learning environment in the classroom that demonstrates the ability to implement New York State Education Dept. Standards, CAEP Standards and Common Core Standards. Any student completing the major will meet all of the academic course requirements for NYS teacher certification in BOTH general education and special education.
