This interdisciplinary program provides a broad science and mathematics background similar to that of the traditional physics major, combined with a strong grounding in engineering design. A centerpiece of the curriculum is a two-semester Introduction to Design sequence, a summer industry internship, and a two-semester capstone Team Design Project. The program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
