Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions

Prepares students to seek entry-level employment in a dental office as a dental assistant or in other dental auxiliary positions, concentrating on dental and medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, infection control, preventive dentistry, dental radiology, dental office management, and expanded functions such as coronal polishing, sealant placement, and temporary crown fabrication, followed by a hands-on externship.
