Hawaiian Studies

The B.A. in Hawaiian Studies provides curriculum and pedagogy through two options. The Continuing the Culture option produces fluent Hawaiian language speakers who are committed to revitalizing and perpetuating the Hawaiian language and culture in their lives. The Monitoring the Culture option conjointly produces fluent Hawaiian language speakers in broader contexts of Hawaiian language and culture in relationship with natural and social environments of Hawaiʻi.
