Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences

Emphases in the PhD program are speech-language pathology, audiology, speech science, language science, or hearing science. The program prepares students for careers in research, teaching, and advanced clinical applications. Most students entering the program have a master's degree in speech-language pathology, audiology, or a related area. The PhD degree usually requires five or more years of work beyond the master's degree.
