The world language majors in French, Japanese, and Spanish prepare students for careers where an understanding of a world language and culture is needed, such as in business, government, social work, and law, as well as for graduate study and the teaching profession. The major consists of 32 or 30 semester hours of study in the target language depending on point of entry.
