The doctor of philosophy in ecology is offered by the Environment, Ecology, and Energy Program, which links the social and natural sciences to consider the complexity of the environment and integrated approaches to problem identification and solution. Each ecology Ph.D. student must take ENEC 567 and ENEC 569 and register for ENEC 994 at least once for three hours of credit; other course requirements are set by the student's graduate advisory committee.
