The Cellular, Molecular and Biomedical Sciences Program only awards M.S. degrees to students who have matriculated into the Ph.D. program, and their studies committee has determined that their academic progress (research included) is not sufficient to complete a Ph.D. degree, or the student requests to leave the program prior to completion of the Ph.D. degree.
