Theatre

The MA in Theatre combines rigorous courses in academic and practical theater, with a core curriculum including the history of theater and production, theory, criticism, and analysis of dramatic literature, and laboratory courses in acting, design, playwriting and directing. Students need a total of 30 credits, a comprehensive exam upon completion of the first year, and the successful oral defense of a capstone or thesis project.
