The biology program's mission is to provide a solid foundation in the fundamental areas of biology necessary for careers in modern biological science, including the background for admission to graduate and professional schools. Students must complete all the courses in the biology core and those in the related science and mathematics disciplines, plus three science electives, eight hours of a foreign language, and Introduction to Psychology.
