Business analytics is the combination of skills, technologies, applications, and processes used by organizations to gain insight into their business's performance. It can be applied to any department or function from sales to finance to logistics, etc. Business analytics uses internal and external data, statistical and quantitative analysis, data visualization, mapping, and other techniques in measuring past performance to guide an organization's business planning.
