Black Church Studies

Black Church Studies (BCS) at Yale Divinity School offers a Certificate in Black Church Studies for students who intend to serve in historically Black congregations and/or who are inspired by the rich traditions of the Black Church. Requirements include at least twelve credit hours of relevant course work, colloquium attendance, an internship at a BCS-approved site, and participation in the YDS-New Haven Pilgrimage or the BCS biennial retreat.
