Master of Musical Arts - Oboe

The oboe program at the Yale School of Music offers training in solo, chamber, and orchestral performance, as well as such topics as reed making and oboe pedagogy. Oboists take private lessons and attend weekly seminars and are encouraged to explore as broad a repertoire as possible, including the performance of Baroque and contemporary music. The performance-oriented master of musical arts (M.M.A.) program is designed for students who want to further their education beyond an M.M. degree.
